Stoked for Wanaka Winter

The Stoaker Room Wānaka is celebrating its second year in operation following in the footsteps of its successful sister restaurant in Cromwell. Located beside the Cardrona Valley Road the bistro is a hive of activity during winter.

“This is the perfect place to stop for skiers and snowboarders or if you’re having a day off the slopes to experience delicious regional food smoked in our unique Stoaker barrels along with our excellent range of locally crafted beers and Wild Earth Wines,” says marketing manager Sue Barbara.

“We serve barista coffee, breakfast from 9.00am to 12.00pm and our all-day barrel barbecue menu is available from 12.00pm until 7.00pm while the bar stays open until 9.30pm.”

The cosy bistro features indoor heated booths and leaner seating in a relaxed rustic setting. A sheltered sunny courtyard offers outdoor leaners, comfy chairs and couches to enjoy all day sunshine.

“Our signature dish The Butcher’s Banquet includes a whole lamb shoulder that is ideal for groups and the burgers, ribs and cheese fondue are super popular for those coming off the mountain. Evening bookings are recommended but we also welcome walk-ins.”
