New Gateway to Cromwell

Cromwell’s Wooing Tree Estate, designed as a new gateway to the town, is set to undergo a huge transformation during 2023 with the construction of over 115 new homes, a new Wooing Tree wine cellar door, bar and restaurant and childcare centre.

Wooing Tree Estate is a boutique residential subdivision for up to 390 homes being developed on the Wooing Tree Vineyard and development manager Stephen Cornwall says to date Stages 1-3 of the new neighbourhood are over 95 per cent sold.

He says they are pleased to welcome national childcare provider BestStart whose new centre will  open in early 2024 catering for more than 80 children aged from 0 to six years old.

Other plans include a cycle and pedestrian underpass linking the subdivision to Cromwell town centre which will be open by June following the completion of connecting streets and footpaths inside the development.

“It’s been a massive undertaking and investment to complete the underpass and new State Highway 8B roundabout at the entrance. The developers fully funded both projects to ensure it was seamlessly connected to Cromwell town, local trails and nearby Lake Dunstan.

“We want to be sure when locals or visitors are strolling from Cromwell town across to Wooing Tree Estate they are as safe as possible,” says Stephen. “Our vision is that this area becomes a beautifully designed front door for Cromwell and that’s rapidly taking shape.”
