Lakeside Magic
Edgewater’s signature Lakefront Restaurant and Bar offers distinctive, warm and inviting hospitality throughout winter.
“It is much loved by locals and visitors for its comfortable surroundings, warm fireplace and stunning lake and mountain views,” says head chef Chris Nelson. “If you’re staying in town Edgewater is just a short walk along the lakefront path and past the famous Wānaka tree.”
Après ski is popular for skiers and riders heading back from Treble Cone with a bar snack menu featuring locally crafted produce.
“Think tasty pork rind crackling served with Asian plum sauce, local tempura oyster mushrooms or Karaage fired chicken to name a few. We’ve introduced a Reuben sandwich on marbled rye this season which I’m excited about. After tasting Living Goodness sauerkraut I just had to incorporate it on our menu.”
Evening dining is open from 6.00pm daily celebrating New Zealand’s finest cuisine and wines.
“We have lovely, succulent winter dishes such as stuffed pork belly, gnocchi, Lumina lamb and slow braised short rib on the menu,” says Chris. “Bookings are recommended and we are also happy to take walk-ins.”
