High-end Glamping

James and Nessie Lamb of Safari Tents NZ are crating new opportunities for Kiwis to experience the great outdoors in luxury with a range of glamping tents and lodges from Europe and high-quality Canadian cedar saunas and lodges.
“Our focus is on quality and we only import tried and tested high-quality products,” says James. “ In 2015 we became the first distributor outside Europe for our tented lodges and safari tents which can now be found in 51 countries. In the process we have helped promote New Zealand to become one of the world’s best glamping destinations.”
As the business has developed the couple have added complementary products to their range including contemporary cedar saunas and lodges from Canada and mirrored glass lodges and saunas direct from Europe.
“These stunning mirrored glass lodges appear to merge and disappear into nature enabling guests to nestle into the surrounding flora and fauna. They have already caused quite a stir in over 28 countries and we are very excited to be bringing them to New Zealand in 2025.”
“We are looking to partner with an established accommodation operator to help launch these with a bang on to the market,” he says. “They would perfectly suit the greater Queenstown and Wānaka environment.”

Safari Tents NZ have sold over 200 tents and lodges across New Zealand with many used for luxury guest accommodation and as well as for commercial tasting rooms, restaurants, bars and conference facilities.
“Our cedar sauna products are as close to nature as you can get being made from solid cedar sourced directly from replenishing and sustainable mills in Ontario. The quality is unsurpassed and they are extremely popular with sauna lovers who want a superior product to enhance their home or landscaping scheme.”
James says their entire product range sets a new benchmark for glamping and outdoor living around the world.
“We spend much of our winter attending global expos and trade fairs in search of new ideas to enhance our business offerings. We like to choose products that have been bedded in elsewhere before taking the plunge to bring them to New Zealand.”
“Whether people are in need of an outdoor sauna, a home gym or overflow space at home or alternatively are keen to set up an accommodation business we can assist in bringing their project together.”
