The Queenstown Ice Bar is bringing the heat to Upper Village as the coolest hot spot in town.

“It’s easy to find on the way to the Skyline Gondola and our new look alpine lodge style entrance is a warm and inviting space to change into plush coats and winter accessories before heading into the ice bar below,” says co-owner Bert Haines.

Built from 25 tonnes of translucent, hand-carved ice Queenstown Ice Bar is the ultimate ice bar experience featuring premium cocktails in signature ice glasses in a striking, Scandinavian inspired lounge bar.

“This is a brilliant locale to cheer on your friends as they indulge in one of our legendary ‘shot luge’ drinks,” he says. “ Our bar crew have perfected Queenstown’s coolest espresso martini that is a super smooth blend of Harpoon Cold Brew and Quick Brown Fox espresso with a wide range of spirits.”

Pre-dinner tipples, après ski cocktails or late-night drinks with a difference are specialities at the Ice Bar and a special mocktail menu ensures the experience is family-friendly.

“It’s a truly unique bucket list experience for good time seekers and we welcome holiday makers and families – some with their grandparents in tow,” says Bert. “It’s a location that works so well for a variety of groups and we also have ice crowns and ice tiaras for hens or stags parties.”

While Queenstown Ice Bar caters for up to 50 people at a time, groups and pre booked functions can combine the experience with Miss Rita’s Cantina which can take larger groups of up to 180 at a time.
