Clicquot in the Snow returns with a Twist

Adding lustre to ski towns around the globe since its inception in Aspen in 2007, Clicquot in the Snow returns to Queenstown this August.

The annual luxury champagne festival is back in 2019 bringing new meaning to champagne powder and making it easier than ever to transition from the snow-capped mountains to a series of gastronomic alpine experiences, all with a Veuve Clicquot twist.

Well established as the chicest event series of the winter season, this year’s festival line-up includes a series of on and off mountain experiences in and around Queenstown to toast the winter season. Locals and visitors, ski amateurs and experts are invited to celebrate the festival by enjoying fine champagne and delicious food with friends in the quintessential southern alpine town with several local hotspots set to adorn themselves in iconic Clicquot yellow for the month of August.

“We’re excited to be heading into our ninth year of Clicquot in the Snow, each year the festival continues to get bigger and better,” says Juliet McInnes, Senior Brand Manager of Veuve Clicquot. “Queenstown continues to deliver the best Clicquot in the Snow experience worldwide with incredible local cuisine and alpine adventures.”

Arguably the best part of skiing, Veuve Clicquot is making sure the fun doesn’t end when you reach the mountain base and is bringing Après Ski to Coronet Peak. Returning in 2019, Veuve Clicquot is inviting all mountain-goers a chance to unwind after an action-packed day with a flute of champagne at the popular Clicquot Après Ski Bar.

Dishing up Clicquot Cuisine Clicquot in the Snow will once again partner with celebrity chef Josh Emett to bring back the Clicquot Long Lunch series at Rata Restaurant, a four-course degustation lunch inspired by the Veuve Clicquot range including the iconic Yellow Label, Rosé and Vintage 2008.

Looking for something a bit more relaxed? Head along to local favourites Cru Bar and Stacks Pub to enjoy their moreish ‘Flute and Fries’ pairing and sit back and relax with a flute of Veuve Clicquot paired with delicious truffle, parmesan fries.

Head along to Queenstown’s ultimate lakeside dining destination Wakatipu Grill during the month of August and choose from one of their three paired menu options with both Veuve Clicquot Yellow Label as well as an audacious La Grande Dame pairing.

Local favourite The Lodge Bar will also be adorned in Clicquot Yellow for the month of August, offering guests a delicious pairing with iconic Yellow Label Veuve Clicquot and Veuve Clicquot Rosé.
