Wānaka fashion store Bella is a style destination for high quality garments from leading New Zealand designers.

“Bella’s long standing success is testament to over a decade of considered customer service combined with an ongoing commitment to top New Zealand designers and easy wear labels which are featured in our beautiful downtown store,” says owner Jen Milburn.

“ We have had labels like Obi and Nyne for over 12 years building strong relationships with the designers and their sales teams. That direct link allows us to hand pick only what we know works for our customers.”

Jen and the Bella team always ask the question when purchasing for the store – who could wear this and feel fabulous?

“We give serious consideration to our customers’ lifestyles and special occasions so we buy clothes that help them develop a personal style and create the ultimate capsule wardrobe.”

The spacious Dunmore Street store in Spencer House Mall is an attraction in itself.

“The store is beautifully laid out with feature windows that the team love styling with mannequins in gorgeous new fashion arrivals to entice customers in to explore the seasonal ranges,” says Jen.

“Presentation is key and the store is uncluttered and easy to browse without the overwhelm of too many garments fighting for attention on a rack.  We pride ourselves on friendly, knowledgeable and kind service to help women feel confident. There is nothing better than when our customers leave the store on top of the world.”

Bella hosts regular instore evenings with guest designers and supports women’s refuge by donating clothes to the Otago Designer Clothing sale.

 “Recently we hosted fashion designer Vicki Taylor, creator and head designer of Taylors, and we had an excellent response. It was so exciting to see Wānaka women  discover a new style of dressing.”
